Kids' Eid outfits on a budget: our full 2026 price breakdown
Every Eid the same panic: matching outfits for three kids without spending a fortune. Here's how we'd shop it this year, price-checked across retailers.
Eid outfits go on sale in waves — and if you know the rhythm, matching a family of five can cost less than one adult outfit.
Shop the wave, not the peak
Retailers typically discount kidswear four to six weeks *before* Eid, then restock at full price a fortnight out. Emaanly's price history flags the earliest drop.
Mix, don't match
Instead of identical outfits, pick a shared palette (cream + sage, or navy + copper) and let each child's cut suit their age. It photographs better and costs less because you're not fighting a single limited stock line.
Where the savings actually are
Boys' thobes — the biggest markdowns happen on cotton-poplin styles a full month before Eid.
Girls' abayas — chiffon-overlay styles hold their price; plainer nida styles drop hardest.
Accessories — kufis, hijabs, and matching hair accessories almost never go on deep sale; buy them last, as budget allows.
