1. Who we are

Emaanly is a modest fashion price-comparison index operated by the Emaanly team ("we", "us"). For any privacy question or data request, email salaam@emaanly.com.

2. What we collect

• Account data. If you sign in, we store your email address and the authentication identifiers our auth provider issues.
• Wishlists and price alerts. The products you save and the alert thresholds you set, tied to your account.
• Contact messages. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive the contents and your email address.
• Technical data. Basic request data such as IP address, user-agent, and pages viewed, used to run and secure the Site.
• Cookie preferences. Your choice about optional cookies is stored locally in your browser so we can honour it on future visits.

3. How we use your data

We use the data above to:

• Operate the Site and provide the features you request (sign-in, wishlists, alerts).
• Send transactional messages such as price alerts you opted into.
• Respond to your enquiries and support requests.
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse.
• Improve product quality and understand aggregate usage of the Site.

Our legal bases include your consent (for optional cookies and marketing), performance of a contract (running your account), and our legitimate interests (keeping the Site secure and improving it).

4. Cookies and similar tech

Emaanly uses three categories of cookies and local storage:

• Necessary. Required to run the Site — for example keeping you signed in, remembering your cookie choice, and protecting against abuse. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics. Optional. If you accept, we may use privacy- respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful and where the Site is slow or broken. Data is aggregated and not used to identify you.
• Marketing. Optional. If you accept, we may set cookies to measure the effectiveness of our affiliate links and marketing campaigns. We do not sell your data.

5. Analytics

We only load analytics scripts after you accept the "Analytics" category above. Analytics helps us understand things like which categories are popular and where users hit errors so we can improve the Site. We do not build advertising profiles about you.

6. Sharing your data

We share data only with service providers that help us run the Site (hosting, authentication, database, email delivery) and only to the extent needed to provide those services. When you click an outbound affiliate link, you leave Emaanly and become subject to that retailer's own privacy policy — please review it before purchasing.

7. Data retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Wishlists and alerts are removed when you delete them or your account. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to respond. Cookie preferences remain in your browser until you clear them or change your choice.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Submit an export or deletion request on our data rights page or email salaam@emaanly.com. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

9. Children

Emaanly is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email us and we will remove it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, highlighted on the Site.
